Sound and Vision Heads Abroad Again
Date: 27th June 2008
Last year saw Sound and Vision head to mainland Europe with various clients. September we brushed up on our Italian and went to Italy’s Marche region to the very picturesque Santa Vittoria for a Diageo conference. Then in November, we hit the road again and Disneyland, Paris was our next European adventure for a Grant Thornton conference – we even had time to make friends with some of the locals!

Sound and Vision is short listed at the 2008 Scottish Event Awards
Date: 16th June 2008
Having been at the forefront of technically producing many award ceremonies both in Scotland and UK-wide, we thought it was time we put ourselves forward for an award!

We are very proud and delighted to announce that we have been short listed for “Best Technical Production Company” in the Scottish Event Awards 2008. We will know the outcome in a glittering award ceremony in September at the Glasgow Science Centre. Well done to all the Sound and Vision team for getting short listed – a great effort.

Sound and Vision have also been noted in a couple of other entries as we were the technical production company for: Kwik Fit Insurance employee awards through Maximillion and the Scottish Thistle Awards through VisitScotland. Both these entries are short listed in the “Best corporate event” category.

Robin beat Monty at The Main Event (28 Feb 2008)
Date: 12th March 2008

The first ever Main Event was a roaring success. Packed with leading companies from the Scottish events industry, the exhibition was both informative and a great networking day.
Sound and Vision had an open, inviting stand, dominated by a 103" plasma screen, the largest one commerially available in the world! We could have shown stunning Hi-Def video or even a looping S&V showreel. Instead we opted for a Nintendo Wii golf tournament - a fun way to spend 5 minutes of a busy day at an industry exhibition. The challenge was to beat Monty (our MD) at his own game, with the winner walking away with the games console. Robin Dunlop did just that - congratulations to you Robin!

Once again, we exhibited at Confex, Earls Court, UK's premiere events industry exhibition. Sound and Vision were very attractively located on the corner of the VisitScotland stand and we attracted huge amounts of interest from passing visitors. The contacts gained here have resulted in numerous S&V events throughout the UK.
